Square Renderer 2002-02-22
The square renderer is a PHP script that draws an arbitrary set of squares as an HTML table. Where squares overlap, table cells are colored to simulate transparency.
In this instance, the squares and their colors are generated randomly, which rarely produces harmonious results.
In its original incarnation, a static square design was rendered in colors derived from the viewer's IP address. Limiting the randomness to a single dimension of the composition generally improves the results.
