Web

Now I see why so many artists just set up a blogspot site. It’s not trivial to set up WordPress and customize the theme, especially the first time. I’d been meaning to investigate the viability of WordPress as a simple CMS for artist and portfolio sites, though, so it was an interesting project.

I’m impressed with WordPress as a platform for building simple websites that users can update themselves. In particular, the gallery feature added in WordPress 2.5 that allows images uploaded when creating a post and remain attached to that post is invaluable for any website where a post is more than just text.
